I am in health foundations and Monday a lady came in to talk to us about tobacco. I thought that it was really interesting and cool. She had pig intestines that were healthy lungs and tobacco lungs. I think that it is important to bring different people in when going over certain lessons in health class. When I teach I plan on having people come in.

I was also in that class. It was a good switch up to bring in another person to teach. The pig lungs were very interesting part of the class because they look so much like human lungs. I bet acoupe people that were smokers quickly changes their mind after seeing those in class.
I had that class too last semester and the same lady came in and showed us as well. I couldn't believe the lungs of a smoker!! It was discusting! Its amazing how big of a difference it is from a smoker and a non smoker. I was also suprised on how large the healthy lungs get while breathing. I had no idea they got that large. Then the smoker lungs barely got half of the size. A person in our class who said she was a smoker actually said she is going to try and quit after seeing it. Which I thought was great!
I really liked that class. I think that every so often it is important to get another person's thoughts and information. I definitely thought she did a great job, and I loved the switch up in teachers.
I have that class as well and I thought she did a really good job at making us realize how harmful tabacco was for the body. I also agree with you on having different people come in to talk about certain areas. It gives the students a break from listening to you lecture all the time. And guest speakers usually have more experience teaching that area so they will have more things to say that will interest the students.
